Princess Juliana (SXM) and St. Maarten

Stopped at Phillipsburg, St. Maarten on a cruise. Three of the nine family members are pilots, so of course we had to see the famed Princess Juliana International (SXM) and Maho Beach. An interesting ride with the CobraMan and a half hour later we were there. The beach is pretty small but its almost like Oshkosh in that everyone on there loves planes or they would be at some other resort beach. There are no approaches into the runway, which usually has a pretty good crosswind, so the pilots are visually flying the aircraft in. Its a really cool airport and a pretty nice island. The 757 approach made the whole trip.

Islander on approach. One of the few planes operating commercially to many of the Virgin Islands and much of the Caribbean since many of the runways aren't even as long as Princess Juliana (7,054 ft.)
Awesome signs posted around the airport and on the beach.
